You have to start somewhere...
Hello, Thank you for reading my blog. (such a newbie thing to say) I created this blog as an outlet for my thoughts as I study Conditionalism. (the doctrine that immortality is not granted to everyone but only to those who repent and put their faith in Jesus for the forgiveness of their sins. That those who neglect this offered salvation will not live forever in misery in Hell but will instead be resurrected, judged according to their works and then destroyed forever. Often this has been referred to in the past as annihilationism.) You could say that thanks go to Robert Peterson because it was in reading the first few pages of his portion of Two Views of Hell that prompted me to create a google doc responding to his claims and statements. I then thought that it might be useful to create a blog to share some of my more fleshed out thoughts with others and to have a place from which I can share links with others when we discuss topics that I will have covered here.
While I do believe Conditionalism to be the true understanding of final punishment, I take the warning very seriously in James 3:1 Not many of you should become teachers, my brothers, for you know that we who teach will be judged with greater strictness.
Therefore, do not take what you read here to be authoritative, these are my thoughts as I study this issue, rather compare what I say to God's word and decide for yourself.
